Yoshiki Iwazaki

Yoshiki Iwazaki is a Research Group Leader at Analysis Group, Research and Development Laboratory, Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd., Japan. He is also a Research Advisor of the Research Center for Functional Materials, National Institute for Materials Science.

He received an M.S. in Physics from the University of Tsukuba and a Ph.D. in Physics from The University of Tokyo, where his thesis focused on theoretical study of defect induced phenomena in perovskite-type oxides based on first-principles calculation. Dr. Iwazaki’s research has been based on theoretical approach for mechanism clarification and for design of new material including ferroelectric, piezoelectric and dielectric materials.

Dr. Iwazaki currently supervises theoretical and instrumental analysis group in Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd., where his group focuses largely on the study of inorganic and organic material by using first-principles calculation and the analysis with cutting-edge technology for unknown phenomenon in electroceramic materials and electronic devices. He has continuously contributed to the basic theoretical study and the industrial application of ceramic materials.
