Yu Du is a PhD student at University of Science and Technology Beijing, China. Yu Du received his bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering field at Northeastern University in 2016. From 2016 – today, he is a PhD student in State Key Laboratory of Advanced Metallurgy in University of Science and Technology Beijing. Yu Du works on the separation, recovery and application studies of titanium (Ti) in titanium bearing slags (Ti-bearing blast furnace slag, et al.), mainly including the phase transformations of titanium in titanium bearing slags, the crystallization kinetics for titanium phases (rutile, anosovite, et al.) in titanium bearing slags, selective separation of titanium phases (rutile, anosovite, TiC, et al.) from titanium bearing slags by super gravity, and the application of titanium phases for ceramics and other fields.
