The Thailand Chapter of The American Ceramic Society serves members in Thailand for the purpose of promoting that arts and sciences connected with ceramics and glass science and engineering. Events such as workshops, industrial showcases, and seminars are planned to enhance and facilitate the interaction, technical discussions, and potential collaborations between ACerS members in Thailand. These will focus on the development of early career researchers to present their work to our members, provide publicity for job opportunities, and the establishment of networking collaborations.
The Chapter is headquartered in Wangchan, Rayong.

Thailand Chapter co-organized the Synchrotron User and Application Promotion Activity (SUAPA)
The American Ceramic Society – Thailand Chapter together with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, Silpakorn University, and Synchrotron Light Research Institute (Public Organization) (Thailand) co-organized the Synchrotron User and Application Promotion Activity (SUAPA) on December 15-15, 2022 at Mida Grande Hotel Dhavaravati Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
This event aimed for encouraging and promoting Thailand researchers to widely use Synchrotron Light in various kinds of characterizations. All techniques employed in Synchrotron Light Research Institute are so powerful for materials characterization. They can see through more finest materials structures, leading to an insight into materials mechanisms, and upgrading the research quality. The number of participants attending this event was about 50 people.
