Students have the opportunity to attend a plant tour at Allied Mineral Products, Inc, Columbus, OH, on Monday, October 5, from noon to 5 p.m., during MS&T15.
Allied Mineral Products is a global manufacturer of monolithic refractories and precast shapes for over 50 Years. Allied’s corporate headquarters is located in Columbus, Oh, and there are plants located across the globe. Allied is an employee owned company which means everyone that is employed by Allied is an owner in the company.
Students will tour the 1/4 mile long plant which includes shipping, operations, quality assurance and the shapes division. There will also be a presentation as well regarding Allied and what the company is all about.
