ACerS is pleased to announce Keith Bowman has been selected for Volunteer Spotlight, a program through which we recognize a member who demonstrates outstanding service to The American Ceramic Society through volunteerism.
Bowman is dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology and Constellation Professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees from Case Western Reserve University and a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from the University of Michigan.
Bowman is a former ACerS Board member, and he most recently served as the chair of ACerS Diversity & Inclusion Subcommittee and chair of the Multi Society Diversity Council, of which ACerS is a member. He was a panelist representing ACerS at the MS&T Town Hall meeting on Diversity & Inclusion, which can be viewed here.
