Ali Almansoori

Dr. Ali Almansoori holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Imperial College in London, an Executive MBA from London Business School, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology. In August 2006, he joined the Petroleum Institute (PI) in Abu Dhabi, and currently holds the position of Dean of Engineering and Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering. His main research interest is in the area of Process Systems Engineering with focus on energy systems design, simulation, modeling and optimization.

His specific research topics include: hydrogen supply chain networks, fuel cell technology, water desalination, power systems, biorefineries, the oil and gas industry, and Oil Sands industry. Dr. Almansoori has published numerous articles in renowned refereed journals and conference proceedings. He also has delivered several presentations in international conferences and he is the author of a few book chapters. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for reputable international journals in the area of energy and process systems engineering
