Patrick-Lajarge-photoPatrick Lajarge earned a DUT technical degree in electricity and automatism from Technology University of Montluçon and has more than 30 years of experience in the field of nuclear science and technology. After his studies, Patrick worked five years for Intercontrôle (Part of the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (CEA)) in Cadarache (France) where he contributed to the inspection of nuclear power plants across Europe.

Since mid-1990, Patrick has been appointed as a Technical Officer of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre at ITU Karlsruhe.  In the beginning of his career at JRC-ITU he worked on acoustic agglomeration of liquid and solid aerosols.

Later on, he worked as EURATOM Analyst Inspector for about 11 years. Now, his main field of interest is characterization and safety assessment of advanced nuclear fuels for existing and future reactor generations.
