Tony died last week after a tough fight with cancer. He is considered to be one of the “giants” in not only ceramic science, but, really, in all of materials science. A great thinker, teacher, motivator and team manager, Tony’s accomplishments and kudos are enormous. His death is a huge loss to his family, to ACerS and to the science community.
