The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL)

Students will have the opportunity to visit the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in Richland, Washington, USA, on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, during MS&T19. The ACerS Student Tour to PNNL will be an all-day event and is open to all MS&T19 student registrants.

PNNL is a US Department of Energy National Laboratory with over 4400 staff that is advancing the frontiers of knowledge, taking on some of the world’s greatest science and technology challenges.

Distinctive strengths in chemistry, earth sciences, and data analytics are at the heart of the Lab’s science mission, laying a foundation for innovations that improve the nation’s energy resiliency and enhance our national security. PNNL’s state-of-the-art facilities, laboratories, and instruments allow our researchers to address critical issues, helping to create a world that is safer, cleaner, more prosperous, and more secure.
