Jun Tsutsumi

Jun Tsutsumi is a manager in the microdevice research & development department at Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd., Akashi, Japan.
   
He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electronics engineering from Osaka University, Japan, in 1992 and 1994, respectively. While he was at Osaka University, he studied integrated optics devices on ferroelectric materials. He joined Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd., Akashi, Japan, in 1994, and has been engaged in research on surface acoustic wave devices and since 2004, on film bulk acoustic wave devices. He received a Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering from Osaka University, Japan, in 2001.

From 2005 to 2006, he worked as a guest scientist at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, and studied system simulation technique of wireless communication systems considering the characteristics of acoustic wave devices. In 2010, he has moved to Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd. and has been engaged in research and development on RF acoustic wave duplexers and modules for wireless communication devices.

He authored 9 peer-reviewed journal papers, and contributed to 18 symposium proceedings. Also, he was granted a total 68 patents in Japan and the US.

His current research interests include analysis of acoustic wave properties for high-performance RF acoustic duplexers in wireless communication systems.
