Frank Handle is senior consultant and founder of ECT KEMA GmbH. He also founded ECT GmbH in 2002. He was previously a lecturer in system and planning theory at Berlin University of Technology (TU Berlin), worked for Max Planck Institute for Human Development, and led Handle GmbH as managing director and partner between 1971 and 2001.

In addition to his work for ECT KEMA, Handle travels worldwide as a consultant and speaker at conferences and universities. He is a member of Club Systemtheorie, a think tank taking an interdisciplinary approach to the application of system theory models to solve problems.

Handle has published more than 40 books and articles on ceramic technology, R&D management, and system theory, including Brick and Tile Making (1982), Extrusion in Ceramics (2007), and The Art of Ceramic Extrusion (2019). He has a degree in mechanical engineering and economics from the TU Berlin.

 

Torsten Seidel is managing partner of  ECT-KEMA GmbH. He was previously sales manager and deputy managing director, playing a pivotal part in current machine developments for the company.

Before coming to ECT-KEMA GmbH, Seidel worked in a Görlitz-based engineering office for electrical planning, and then worked as sales manager for the ceramic machinery manufacturer BMS Kema Görlitz.

Seidel also serves on an advisory committee for Ceramitec in Munich.

He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Zittau University of Applied Sciences.
