J. Douglas Jeter, PE, CSP has dual areas of expertise: Ceramic engineering and industrial safety. He has 30+ years of experience in technical and managerial roles in materials-related businesses around the globe. He has provided investigations, reports, and testimony toward resolution of litigation and claims in numerous cases resulting from industrial workplace safety incidents and material failures.

Jeter received his B.S. in ceramic engineering from Clemson University, his M.S in ceramic science and engineering from Rutgers University, and took the ceramic engineering exam for his Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.  He is a registered P.E. in eight states, is recognized as a Certified Safety Professional by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and is authorized by the U.S. Department of Labor as an OSHA General Industry Trainer. His memberships include the American Ceramic Society, American Society of Safety Professionals, ASM International, the National Institute of Ceramic Engineers, Keramos, and Tau Beta Pi. Jeter has been the director of sales and marketing for Harrop Industries since July, 2017.
