GOMD 2017 Student Activities
Poster Session and Student Poster Competition
Mathieu Bauchy, University of California, Los Angeles
Poster abstracts will be accepted for all sessions and symposia. Students are encouraged to enter their presentations in the annual poster competition for professional recognition and cash awards!
Career Round Table
Organized by Global Graduate Researcher Network (GGRN) and President’s Council of Student Advisors (PCSA)
Students attending GOMD 2017 are invited to attend an information round table discussion with scientists from industry, national laboratories, and academia. This will be an opportunity for students to ask scientists questions in a casual environment on diverse topics (work–life balance, career opportunities, etc.). The scientists will rotate every 15 minutes so that students have the chance for candid discussions with several professional scientists during the session.
Students also should keep an eye out for the GOMD 2017 Facebook group (coming soon!) to have the chance to make connections with their fellow attendees prior to the conference. This also is an opportunity to coordinate travel and hotel reservations with students from other universities to decrease conference attendance costs. If you have any questions or would like more information please feel free to contact Jessica Rimsza: firstname.lastname@example.org
A limited number of Student Travel Awards from GOMD will be made available, with application details to follow.
