Dues: complimentary for first year; $40 for second year
Students who have just graduated receive a free 12-month Associate Membership upon completion of education. In the second year, Associate Membership dues are $40. Dues: $65 per year
If you are 60 years or older, have five (5) or more years of continuous membership in ACerS, and are retired, you qualify for the Retired membership level. Contact customer service if you meet all criteria for Retired membership.
Dues: $40 per year
If you are 60 years or older, have twenty-five (25) or more years of continuous membership in ACerS, and are retired, you qualify for the Senior membership level. Contact customer service if you meet all criteria for Senior membership.
Dues: exempt from dues
If you are 65 years or older and have thirty-five (35) or more years of continuous membership, you qualify for Emeritus membership. Contact customer service if you meet both criteria for Emeritus membership.
Dues: waived for up to 12 months
ACerS offers free gap coverage for members who have been laid-off or lost their job. Current members who are up for renewal, or members whose membership has expired within the past 6 months and who are unemployed, are eligible for 6 months free membership. At the end of 6 months, you can sign up for another 6 months free membership upon request if you are still unemployed and need more time to get back on your feet. Contact customer service if you would like to request a waiver of dues.

Dues: $30 per year
Material Advantage is the combined student program of ACerS, ASM International, The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS), and the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST). Any post-secondary student currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, and majoring in the field of materials science and engineering, or a related discipline, is eligible for Material Advantage Student Membership.
